"Okay guys, this is what we are looking for - now, get your eyes in..."
A team of eleven of us walked many times across the bog at Carsehall in search of the Lesser Butterfly Orchid.
Liz Lavery was the Botanic Expert.
Craig from the SNH bossed us around to keep us rabble in line & Steve was the pivot man. (Thanks Stephen for being kind enough to help me identify some plants that were new to me)
Alison the SNH resident artist also took photos.
(you'll love her photography on her BLOG) <---(click to view)
A few old faces I knew include Big Alan the veteran volunteer
A couple of new faces including Emily, Sandy & Fraser were nice to meet.
I am terribly sorry for not remembering the others at the moment, if someone could help my poor memory I will be happy to add them.
I had a lovely time traipsing around the bog and shot many other photos of flowers and other things that caught my eye.
I hope you enjoy the photos I will try to annotate them when I get a minute.
