Mystery PlantsThese are simply plants I have not yet managed to identify and would appreciate any help.
I am afraid I am still learning how to photograph plants to aid effective identification. (instead of taking pretty pictures) I would be grateful for any suggestions you may have. (Thank you) Click on any image to see the enlarged version - I also have the original full-sized images. |

Green Orchid? Hellebore?
I was with Steve when he spotted this green "orchid", and neither of us knew quite what it was.
We found it at Findatie in the little bog there.

Mystery Umbellifer
I get easily confused with umbellifers, except for the more obvious or common ones, and it is a big family, however, this one caught my eye and even using the keys I can't quite pin it down. Suggestions?
Grass/Sedge???
I don't 'do' grasses or sedges, I might recognise a few grasses as simply being familiar but I have never set out to learn their names and forms, though I have started photographing them now and will begin to try to learn a few when I have some time to sit down and put them into order, however when I see something that is new to me it piques my curiousity. This was found at Findatie in the little bog, and I photographed it just out of curiousity in case someone had an easy ID.
